The metronome in Pro Musician Toolkit runs from 20 to 300 BPM, with tap tempo, seven time signatures, three subdivisions and four click sounds.
Its timing comes from a scheduler that runs apart from the screen, so it never drifts, and it keeps playing when you lock your phone.
Tempo and tap tempo
Set any tempo from 20 to 300 BPM, or tap the beat and let the metronome find it. The tempo marking appears next to the number, from Larghissimo and Largo through Andante, Moderato and Allegro up to Presto and Prestissimo.
Time signatures and subdivisions
- Time signatures 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/8, 7/8 and 12/8.
- Quarter, eighth and sixteenth note subdivisions.
- Four click sounds: Beep, Click, Wood and Tick.
- The beat display counts BEAT 1 OF 4 and so on, so you never lose the downbeat.
Practice with the screen off
Lock the phone and the click carries on, which saves battery on a long practice session and keeps the phone from lighting up on a music stand.
